Delete your Veridus account

This page explains how to delete an account in the Veridus app (Android package com.veriduspro.app), what gets deleted, and how long it takes.

Option 1: delete it in the app

1. Open Veridus and sign in.
2. Tap More, then Delete Account.
3. Read what will happen, enter your password, and tap Delete.

You need an internet connection for this step.

Option 2: ask us by email

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the email address on the account, with the subject Delete my Veridus account. Include your business name and phone number. We may ask you to confirm before we act, so that nobody can delete your account but you. We start the deletion within 7 days of confirming the request.

What happens when a business owner deletes their account

The 30 days protect you from a mistake, or from someone else using your password. If you change your mind, email [email protected] before the 30 days end and we will reopen the account with everything still in place.

When the 30 days end, we permanently delete:

• your account details: name, email, phone number, business name and password
• products, prices, units and stock levels
• sales, receipts, returns and payment records
• customers and their credit (money-owed) records
• suppliers, purchases and expenses
• staff logins, the staff activity log and business settings
• support tickets and anything you attached to them
• your subscription details

What happens when a staff member deletes their account

Only your own login is removed, immediately. The business and the sales you recorded belong to the business owner and stay with them as business records.

What we keep

• Encrypted backups. Deleted data stays in our encrypted database backups until those backups expire on their normal rotation. Backups are used only to recover from a system failure.
• A record that the deletion happened (account ID, date and the number of records deleted) in our security log, so we can show a request was carried out.
• Payment records held by our payment providers (Paystack or Flutterwave) for subscription payments, which they keep under their own legal duties.

Veridus keeps a working copy of your business data on the phone so it works without internet. Deleting your account in the app removes that copy from the phone you used. If Veridus is installed on other phones, uninstall it there to remove their copies.
